Nice change of pace. We ate here today for my daughter’s 19th birthday. Although they are kind of pricey, the food is good and their serving sizes are large. They also bring you rice and different fermented vegetables while you wait for your appetizers and your food. The appetizers were great. The service was good. We will definitely go there again.

Here’s a tip: before the end of your meal, ask for (shik hye), a Korean sweet rice drink. They give it to you for free as an after meal drink. It’s really good!10 Jun, 2012The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and quite, and the staff was very nice. 10/10!

Completely Wonderful. The service was phenomenally fast and attentive, the food was super good and abundant, and the prices were good. Definitely going again!

First time dining at a Korean restaurant. The food was very enjoyable and certainly different from our previous experience. The staff was very helpful in explaining the selections and degree of spiciness. The kimchi with pork was boiling in its tureen when served. The fried rice was different from the usual oily rice. It was very tasty. Many people arrived after our seating and they seemed like regulars who know what value the Garlic & Ginger has to offer. Looking forward to returning with a group so we can experience different items. T. J. R.

This place honestly shocked me. Authentic Korean BBQ in Gainesville? Who would think? Really unique experience and only for the more adventurous crowd. If you’ve never had Korean food, which I hadn’t up until I went to garlic and ginger, ask for the most popular item on the menu and you won’t go wrong. The sides that accompany every meal might freak some people out, like the duck jello did me, but if you’re willing to try something new this place truly delivers. I craved more afterwards.

Love it. Authentic Korean food. Love the hot pot tofu soup and the cold noodle. Will go again!

Unique. This was a unique experience. We loved it. Next time we will make more of an effort to get there before 2:30 for the lunch prices (saves 4-5 dollars). We are so blessed to have some great restaurants in this part of town.
