This place is disgusting. When you walk in the smell of a bait market is overpowering. However, they seemed to have a water fountain under construction so we decided to try them anyways. The sushi tastes like the fish used is old and unfit for human consumption. The vegetable entrees have this weird aftertaste kind of like what house paint smells like. My Mongolian grill entree was edible but not good. We definitely didn’t get our fill before just giving up. We really like asian buffets in larger cities but this was just bad.
Okay. Good for what it is, seafood buffet.Certainly not the best seafood and sushi, but lots of it. Only a few ‘Chinese’ dishes with vegatables.Up north this would be great, but in Florida, just not special. Lots of discount coupons available.Staff pleasant and helpful. Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.
Ocean Buffet, my opinion/review. Best Chinese buffet restaurant in Gainesville, FL. I have recommended friends and they love it too! So many varieties including seafood. Price is reasonable. Dessert and appetisers : great variety. Hibachi grill and sushi ..all inclusive.Drinks, of course, not included. Which buffet restaurant includes drinks? I don’t know of any Chinese ones.
I would like to say that Ocean Buffet *sniffles* is one of the most beautiful places in the universe ! :’3 … seriously their food is the best in G’ville. :p and its a really good deal for a friggin buffet. Yeah !!!!!
Disgusting. When I walked in the door I was overwhelmed by the horrible smell. It only got worse from there. I didn’t eat or drink a thing. Not for me.
Best buffet in Gainesville. Food was always fresh and variety is large. Custom hibachi grill also available. Dinner is $11 (drink $2 more, water is free though) add 4.99 if you want to include crab leg bar.
