Peppers in Gainesville, Florida, is a family owned stand alone Mexican restaurant located just west of I-75 on Newberry Road. From their Express Lunch menu (till 3pm) I had the Fajitas (steak). The varied menu (prices from $5.99 to $9.99) of authentic Mexican cuisine also offer Chimichanga, Burito Supremo, Polio Bandido, etc., with great portions. The Mexican atmosphere and music, along with the Wait staff, offer the diner a very enjoyable experience.
Can’t tell you what the other dishes taste like because every time we go there, we order Enchiladas Rancheros! This meal is so fantastic we have cravings for it! The meal is plentiful with Salad and chips with salsa are served as an appetizer. The pork is what makes the meal stand out. It’s nicely browned on the outside but moist and tender on the inside. Served with onions and peppers and a delicious sauce. All of this over cheese enchiladas. Service has always been efficient. We have returned many times.
