Very good. Fresh pasta, tangy sauce with just the perfect acidic bite, generous portions. We’ve had practically everything on the menu and everything is good. I especially like the pasta fagioli, shrimp fra diavolo, and gnocchi. But truly everything is good.Dinner can be pricey, but they have many specials and 2 for 1 take out on some items. The service is always spot on and the owner is on premises most of the time. Sometimes you may have to wait for a table, but so worth it.The restaurant is stereotypical Italian-American: Sinatra in the background, a mural on the wall, cozy and welcoming.

Excellent NY style pizza carry out is two for one making it a very affordable option. Top 3 pizza spots in Gainesville easily. Calzones are also quite delicious.

If you are looking for excellent service and an owner who cares about his customers, choose another restaurant. We were on a tight schedule and were told it would be a five minute wait. Twenty minutes later we were seated at a table that had been open the entire time we were waiting (no sections were closed when we were there). Even the waitress, who was excellent, didn’t know why the hostess waited so long to seat us. It took so long to get our food (45 minutes) that we had to have them box it. Since I didn’t get to eat it while it was hot, I can’t say if the food would have been good or not, although I can say they didn’t even give me what I ordered – which I didn’t know until I arrived at home. By the time I was able to eat, it was soggy and horrible. I spoke to the owner before I left. He couldn’t even be bothered to offer a sincere apology, just said they were busier than usual and the hostess was probably having a stressful night. So was I after paying for a meal I couldn’t eat and discovering the owner couldn’t care less about his customers.

The food was fantastic! The service was exceptional! If you order salad, get the house dressing! It’s absolutely delicious!

Get the Skirt steak!!!! or Mikey’s Pizza Pie. Amazing desserts, most are made on site. Get the skirt steak or mixed grill (shrimp, skirt steak, salmon, & chicken) with broccoli and crusted french fries (sometimes they just serve plain fries). Also an unusual and mouth watering pizza they have is Mikey’s pizza pie – Pesto, fresh tomato slices, mozzarella, pine nuts and proscuitto. Even vegetarian style (without the proscuitto) you can’t stop eating it.

Delicious & cozy, but long waits. I’ve been there a few times. Wonderful atmosphere with surprisingly tasty AND cheap food ($7-$10 per person, depending on what you order), but the waits can be long sometimes. But not all the time. Once it was about 25 minutes. Another time, it was about 10 minutes. It depends on what you order. Awesome place, I recommend highly!
