Very disappointed. Beautiful decor, trendy menu, good service, disappointing food. We had the paella which was a molded blob of undercooked rice. The duck tacos were dull. And the Thai fish was only adequate. I will not recommend it.

Will not be returning. I went to dinner this evening with 4 friends. The restaurant is very pretty inside and the host was super-friendly. We were seated very quickly even without a reservation. There were 5 iPads on the table as menus. This was where the irritation began. While you can interact with the menu and see pictures and get more info about items, you have to click categories of things each time. I guess I never realized how much I rely on seeing an entire drink and wine list all together until it becomes compartmentalized. The same goes for the food choices. This is just me being nit-picky. Something that was ridiculous was that they had outdated prices for things on AN ELECTRONIC MENU. I can understand that it it costs a lot to reprint menus, but when they are in an electronic form?? Also, the waitstaff still writes down the orders. That seemed silly in a restaurant with iPad menus. Our waitress was very sweet, albeit inattentive. She took our orders and reminded us that food comes to the table as quickly as it is finished in the kitchen. This seems so lazy on the part of the management/chef. I realize that sharing is encouraged, but this is still inevitably leaving some diners hungry while others in their party able to eat. Not optimal. When I ordered the paella, the waitress told me that it would take 25 minutes. I really wanted paella, so I told her it would be fine. I asked if I could have some bread while I waited. She said they didn’t have a bread basket but she could bring me a few sides of baguette slices for $0.50 each. I said that would be fine. She forgot this. The next time another server came to our table was when my paella came. I understand human error and I know people forget things, but it was an entire conversation about bread and money and paella taking longer than normal dishes. And others in my party said that they would also like some bread. The restaurant was not insanely packed. I realize this is the perfect storm of accidentally forgetting something and not checking on a table and a hungry customer. But then the paella was awful. The rice was gummy on the outside and crunchy inside. The seafood was rubber. When my boyfriend told the waitress, she comped 50% of the paella (assuming because I ate 2 shrimp and removed all of the mussels from the shells). It was just the cherry on top of a disappointing dinner that will ensure that I won’t return to Sabore.

I can’t wait to go back.. From my facebook post about Sabore, figured I’d post it here too:Just had the most amazing meal ever- Chef’s Table at Sabore. (Their regular menu is fantastic as well). And they did a great job accommodating a person with a seafood and gluten allergy- a whole menu that he could eat the same as the rest of us.Unfortunately I don’t live in Gainesville anymore, but every time I visit I have to get a bowl of their lobster bisque.

Fun food. I love this place. We order the Duck Mole tacos pretty much every time we go to WoB. I love that they do the local delivery within the Tioga Square. Sad to see a couple things go from the menu (I think there was a carpaccio that was really good), but excited to try some new things (like the raw scallops).

Not worth the price. Six of us had dinner there tonite. We were all disappointed. I had the chicken – very dry. The risotto was salty and too rich. How do you serve a plate of risotto as an entree and not cut the richness with a vegetable? The selections do not compare with what they used to be before this chef changed the menu. I had the pomegranate martini – way too sweet. Way overpriced – a big city wannabe but doesn’t make it. It was dead there – I understand why. I have tried this place a couple of times since the new chef took over but this was my last time.

Big unnecessary menu change. Changed Chiefs and entire menu. Not appealing as old. Yucca Chips gone. Will not return

Friday Afternoon Delight. Bad week in the office? Check out Sabore. We were ready to graze and this was the place to be. Martini and some Kobe sliders and the seared tuna hit the spot. The duck tacos were a tad soupy, messy and lacked flavor. I highly advise a visit
