I’ve been a regular at Taste (formerly Taste of Saigon) for about 2 years; eating there at least 6 times a month and usually more often than that. The food is really, really good. No question. Unfortunately, they have some serious issues. #1 is you never know if they will have a sushi chef there. You actually need to call ahead to find out. Mondays seem really bad for that. Secondly, they run out of items on a regular basis. Thirdly, they are seriously inconsistent in what they serve as far as ingredients and portions go. They used to be generous in their portions. I’ve tried several menu items and, of course, have a few favorites. But, you never know what you are going to get. I’ve noticed the plates growing smaller. Last time I went there, my meal was literally half the size it was compared to the last time I was there. I’m disgusted with their inconsistency. Most of the wait staff is excellent; truly. Several months ago, I realized I was being cheated by the same waiter by being overcharged $3 per item whenever I did take out; fortunately, he’s no longer there. He was an exception. The food is excellent., for sure. Unfortunately, they have totally lost my family’s business due to the issues I’ve listed. I’m done.

Delicious and Great Service. Their food is delicious and their service is impeccable. Every time I leave after my meal I am satisfied and happy. You have to try their sushi!

Best Sushi in Gainesville!. This place is tha bomb! No doubt about it! They have the best sushi, bento bowls and pho. I’ve never had their vegetarian dishes but I hear rave reviews about them. On top of that they have great service! Vishi is the best sushi prep and so friendly. I highly recommend this place!
