Part 2: shrimp in lobster sauce, toast park fried rice , roast pork egg foo young all very good. Roast pork Hunan with mixed vegetables excellent in a black bean sauce with a nice zing to it. Pork slices nit fatty and great veggies including ginger.17 Feb, 2015Very good from a New Yorker for take out in East Orlando. Convienet if iu font want to go down town for more authentic dining. Hot and sour soup and egg drop soup good. Wonton soup broth good but wontons so so. Chicken chop suey, shrimp in black bean sauce and chicken in garlic sauce also good. Will be back
The vegetables were fresh, the garlic sauce was nice and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately the dining room was filthy, the chicken was poor quality and so fatty that I took one bite and then just picked out the vegetables to eat. The rice is not Chinese fried rice it was more like Spanish yellow rice. The egg roll was just ok. I asked for hot mustard sauce and it tasted sour. This ex-New Yorker will have to keep looking for some decent Chinese food in the area.
As s native Long Islander, my expectations for great Chinese takeout are high. China City is by far the closest thing to NY Chinese takeout in Orlando. Egg rolls are on par and so are the boneeless spare ribs and general tsos chicken. Lo mein is good too but they use thicker noodles like many places in FL.
