Eastside Asian Market sell bad food which is out-of-date. In the past, i did not notice the expired date of seasoning and source in this market, recently, I noticed that most of the Chinese seasoning and source in this market are out-of-date, the most ridiculous is that one kind of seasoning should not eat after the year 2011, but they still sell it today, 2014!!! So if you go to this shop and buy Chinese seasoning and source, pay attention to the product date and best-used date which are marked on the bottle or package and do not buy those bad expired seasoning and source.

Yummy food and friendly staff. I ordered the fried dumplings and they must put cocaine on them because those little things are so addictive! My husband had the noodles and they were also tasty and perfect. Such a pleasant experience on a cloudy ugly day. The place is very clean and organized. Thanks for being in my area, I will visit more often!
Wonderful groceries and the fresh cooking their is delicious too!
My family and I are NEVER going back to this store again!!. I used to love this place because it was clean, organized, and close to my home but after two incidents with my family and I, we all decided to stop going here. The first time happened a few months ago. I bought a tea pot and brought it home. I opened it and found that the pot was shattered. I brought it back to the store and they did not take it back. They told me that I was supposed to check whether the pot was broken or not. He treated me like I was a little girl and spoke to me in an unrespectful way. Not knowing if he was telling the truth or not I left upset with the customer service and the broken teapot. I later found out that the employees were supposed to check the teapot for me to make sure it wasn’t broken before selling it. The second incident occurred recently. My parents went to buy a few bags of dumplings. We have always eaten this brand of dumplings and nothing was ever wrong with it. We always look for expiration dates when we buy from Asian markets. We didn’t find an expiration date on the bag but we decided to trust the store and bought it anyway. We bought 6 bags of dumplings and opened a bag only to find that the dumplings were completely BLACK. We opened another bag, again it was all black. We returned all 6 bags.
Special buns (vegetarian). Amazing. What else can be said. I have dragged everyone I know to Eastside for the express purpose of making them try these.05 Jun, 2011Special Buns. Amazing. Amazing New Spot In East Orlando. I had the chance to go to Eastside Asian Market yesterday and it really was a great experience. First, understand that it is both a full service Asian market and a great little cafe. Let’s talk market first. The family who owns the place was beyond friendly. They brought us a shopping cart, were super polite, answered any questions we had and even asked us if there were things we’d like to see them start carrying. The main highlights of the market are the produce selection, the noodle selection and a stellar selection of frozen dumplings/goyoza/shumai. Now, on to the cafe. It is a very small menu, which is good. That way you know they will put all their energy into those few items. There are currently 5-6 on there and we surprised them for asking for one of each. As the family who runs the place is Buddhist, the cafe is vegetarian, and delicious. Let’s do a quick run through of the food. 1. Vegetarian spring rolls. – possibly the best I’ve ever eaten. Freshly cooked, super crispy, no sogginess at all. bright flavors great textures inside from things like cabbage and rice noodles. 2. Egg rolls – These were really good. Definitely better than I’ve had in most restaurants. They are long and skinny compared to the short fat kind that I’m used to. Crispy and delicious, though if I had to choose between them and the spring rolls, the spring rolls would win in an instant. 3. Egg Pancake – I wasn’t really sure what to expect here. In my mind, I almost expected something like a scallion pancake, but that’s not what it is. It is more like a crepe, than has a thin omelet folded inside of it. It was definitely tasty and I’d be happy to order it again, but I think maybe putting something like some scallion into the omelet part might make it that much tastier. 4. Fried Dumplings. – These were good. If I had to think of one thing on the menu that I could live without, these would be them though. They are not bad by any means, but compared to the rest of the menu, they just don’t have them same punch of flavor. Also, I’m more used to potstickers that are pan fried and then steamed, these guys are deep fried and it just isn’t the texture would normally crave with a dumpling. 5. Special buns – These are the sandwiches that the market is making a name with and I understand why. If you like spicy and delicious, these buns are built for you. Once again, they are vegetarian, so they are made out of a meat substitute, but don’t worry, it’s not tofu. it actually has a very meaty flavor and texture. The buns themselves are soft and delicious and I’d love to rest my head on one every night. The only warning is that these buns do pack a punch, so if you can’t take the heat I’d advise against them. 6. Vegetable Bao. – Hands down, the favorite at our table. I’ve always loved the steamed pork buns that you can pick up near the register at stores like Dong a Co down on Mills, but these have me looking in a whole new direction. They have that same soft, delicious, pillowy dough on the outside, but instead of heavy meats and hard boiled eggs and food colorings that turn everything red, you get wonderfully cooked Chinese spinach, onions and mushrooms. I would happily eat these every day.
