My husband and I always order the same thing: gluten free pizza. We were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered a pizza with Alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. When I received my pizza (30 minutes later) it was swimming in Alfredo sauce on top of the pizza, kinda like pizza soup. Even the server said he was sorry that it was made that way but the shredded cheese and pepperoni was under the Alfredo sauce. I was going to try and eat it that way, but it was just too difficult to eat. I sent the pizza back and my husband ordered a regular GF pepperoni pizza. Sadly, my husband’s pizza was not fully cooked; the middle of the pizza was soggy. When I received my pizza it was even less cooked being that it was soggier than his. I figured I could just heat it up at home and it wasn’t worth the hassle of sending it back. When we got our check the waiter said he was sorry but his manager was charging us for the pizza that was sent back. That made me and my husband very upset. We asked to speak with the manager, but our server said he was in the back making orders and that he might not be able to come talk to us. We said that we would wait. The manager kept us waiting close to 15 minutes and he never came out! Eventually, the server came out and told us that he had spoken with the manager and that the we would not be charged for the pizza we sent back. We asked the server if he gets his tips directly and he said yes. Being that he was very kind and understanding towards us, we gave him a huge tip in cash.Basically, we waited a long time for sub-standard food, then get mistreated and neglected by the management. Manager, you should be ashamed of yourself for not coming out to talk to your customers and making your server do all the talking. You should take responsibility for your mistakes instead of hiding behind your staff. I have worked in the food industry and never ever had a manager not come out if there was something wrong with the food.We are NEVER going back there again!
