We passed by this place so many times thinking it was one of those chain restaurants. One Saturday my husband was craving a good ol Cuban sandwich so we gave this place a try. We ordered empanadas, their original Cuban sandwich and mixed croquetas, everything was delicious, their cafe con leche is absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back. Great food, reasonably priced and excellent service! Love this place.
4 stars because this is a fun restaurant to visit. Both food and service are hit or miss, though. Id recommend to go either for breakfast or for dinner on the weekend when they have entertainment. On weeknights for dinner, service has always been lousy (guess this isnt the A team…). Breakfast crew is usually really good and a lot of fun. Oh, and the breakfast prices are some of the best in Orlando for what you get.
I’ve been to the Old Cuban Cafe off of Goldenrod and was excited to try this new location. The food is still just as good and the decorations are very similar. I went for breakfast and got a great meal for under $5. My only complaint was on a Saturday morning there was basically only one waiter for all 6 or 7 tables. This meant it took a whole for us to get served. But if you don’t mind that then definitely check this place out.
