Unfortunately this place has gone downhill from my previous review. Fish was definitely not fresh. Won’t return after having been there many times. So sad This is a gem. Not as fancy as Bayridge but much Tnicer service and food. Sashimi excellent thick slices. Not the thin slices at Bayridge and others. Sashimi deluxe presented artistically with a lighted bowl that changes colors. Tools are yummy with nice thin rice as opposed to those that fill you up on rice instead of fish. Hand rolls also very good. Sushi chef will adjust food to your request.
Fantastic Food & Great Service – Unbeatable Combo. This has quickly become one of my favorite places, especially in the Avalon/Waterford area.Inside the restaurant, it’s on the small side but very clean and simple with a warm, modern vibe. The service is incredibly friendly; our server, Albee, remembered us the second time we came in and personally sees to us whenever we’re there. The menu is pretty straightforward: various sushi rolls, typical appetizers, and hibachi. But in that simplicity, they have done themselves a favor. Every meal starts with a bowl of miso and a special appetizer from the sushi chef: tempura-fried crab with a drizzle of sauce on top. The sushi is fresh and delicious, some rolls straying from the usual combinations you find at sushi places. The hibachi is where this place really shines for me; the chicken and the noodles are so flavorful; there is, of course, white sauce but unlike a lot of hibachi places, you don’t *need* it. Also: the hibachi reheats perfectly the next day!I’m so glad the Avalon area finally has a decent sushi/hibachi restaurant!
