2 hours after reservation, still not seated. Walked out. Was watching things come out of the kitchen, slowly, and very staggered. Friend ordered a bowl of tater tots while waiting in the video gaming lounge (just plain tater tots) and they took almost 30 mins. On top of that, they were just your standard grocery-store variety tots, nothing special. Great concept, good decor, poor execution of concept, poor food, and horrible time management issues.

Great beer selection, food is not stellar – mostly heavy bar food with more creative names than creative preparations. It’s a good hangout if you like games and have a modest budget.

I’d first like to say I love this concept! I think they have uncovered a niche market in Orlando that has yet to be tapped. The wait staff (Luigi and Collin) were very attentive even though there was a very large party they had to serve at the same time as my dining companion and I. The beer, cider and mead selection is quite varied as well as their draught options. That’s the good part….here comes the bad. The food was mediocre. I know they are in ‘beta-testing’ currently but it seems as though who ever has made the menu was good at coming up with clever names for what is on the menu but not actually seasoning food properly. We started with the ‘Schlob’s Web’ it was warmed up non-descript cheese sauce and thinly sliced pretzels. The sauce itself just tasted like a plain bechamel. The entree I ordered was ‘Chicken on your head’ it was your basic grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken itself was grilled and chopped into pieces (again it tasted like there was no seasoning what-so-ever.) I ordered fresh veggies as a side which equated to luke warm microwaved carrots broccoli and cauliflower. My fiance had the ‘Lannister’ burger which he said was acceptable but just didn’t quite do it for him and said it needed more peanut butter (he is a peanut fiend though.) The tater tots he had as a side were tasty. We shared the turtle cheesecake which is not made in house (or so I was told) but was quite delicious. I would like to see them make their own geek-inspired creations though. I would go back for the beer and gaming but likely not for the food until beta-testing is complete. I wish them the best of luck!
