Lackluster, poor facsimile of Japanese food. Ordered a bowl of udon, what I got redeemed canned chicken soup with instant udon noodles and a Chinese vegetable medley tossed in for kicks. Should have stopped once I smelled the place, it didn’t sink in till I was there. Nice staff, just not good food.
Consistently Good Sushi. Wasabi seems like a hole in the wall but rest assured you have a great Sushi experience!! My favorite roll is the Yahoo roll, which gives a good balance of Tuna and Jalepeno but the Tempura California and Sweet Potato will also knock your socks off. I was a bit skeptical at first considering I have been to almost every single (or feels like it) sushi place in Orlando but you will not be disappointed!
Awesome sushi variety. We went on a trip to Orlando a few years ago and a friend and I tried this place. We were amazed at the variety and had a very difficult time choosing what to eat. We each picked a few rolls and waited patiently for it to be served. Not soon after the waitress brought out a HUGE platter of sushi. It was as appealing to the eyes as it was our taste buds. It was the best sushi I have ever eaten. The fact that my friend and I are still discussing it almost 3 years later and have discussed making a trip to FL just to eat there, means a lot. Price wise, it was a little on the pricy side, but well worth it for the quality you get.
I love wasabi avalon. Please try the second date roll, amazing everytime. my husband and i drive from apopka to avalon because alll their sushi is so good and the rolls are big!!

Excellent in many ways. I travel coast to coast, I have brought Wasabi’s menu with me so that my favorites can be duplicated consistently I hear from other sushi chefs – original, creative, great flavors… Lesson learned years ago – if they have good noodle soup (udon, soba, etc) then their sushi is outstanding. try it – it has yet to fail me.
Food is fresh and good. We love the terriyaki items, go hungry big portions. Service can be slow at times, great for take out too just be sure to go over order to make sure it is correct!
