Quality Japanese Restaurant. I stopped by the restaurant during the weekday lunch rush. Even though the establishment was bustling, the service was friendly and the food was served within a decent period of time.I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box which included goyza (fried dumplings), harumaki (spring rolls), a California roll, a side of white or brown rice ($.50 extra), sliced orange wedges and your choice of miso soup or ginger salad. For $10.00, the quality and quantity of food provided was a bargain.
It is VERY, VERY good food and service
Best Sushi I’ve had. This is a great authentic sushi restaurant. Sushi rolls are like mixed drinks; you want a perfect synthesis of simple ingredients. Most sushi restaurants have too many muddled rolls with indistinct flavor. Here they have delicate sushi rolled in WARM rice, the way it is meant to be. The menu is very well priced. The most expensive rolls are around 10 dollars, and most are below. One of the best, the Spicy tuna roll, is only 5.25. The Nigiri might be the best item they serve. You get 2 pieces at 4.50 and each piece has a very generous amount of perfect Salmon, tuna etc. Every roll I tried was amazing, but the standouts were probably Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, volcano roll and lobster roll. Go here. It doesn’t look like much from outside but it is a treat.
Great hidden secret. I’ve eaten at most of the sushi places in town. Lots of establishments serve good quality fish and cuts. However, what sets Hana Sushi above the rest, is the rice. It is excellent quality and flavor. For me, this puts this restaurant a cut above the rest. I love the nigiri and the rolls. I also recommend ordering the chirashi which is basically a bed of their deliciously perfect rice topped with the chef’s choice of sashimi. It is always perfect, fresh, and beautiful.
