(11/21/2017) This was the 2nd stop on our mini restaurant crawl through Longwood. One in our party used to work here for many years and this place has a special hold on his heart. We sat at the bar and were very well tended to. The owners were in the house with family (it was just before Thanksgiving) and they were celebrating. The whole place was like a celebration, lively, bustling, noisy, warm (temperamentally and temperature-wise). The bread service was an impressive array of specialty foccaccia, don’t miss the tomato bread. We shared a Gamberoni Portofino, which were large shrimp with artichoke and cherry tomatoes in a Pinot Grigio wine sauce. It was phenomenal, the juices so addictive, thank god for that bread service to sop up the liquor from the plate, it was perfectly balanced tart, fresh, buttery, garlicky, and briny from seafood and artichokes. Based on our bartender’s recommendation, we also shared a Prosciutto e Arugula Pizza. I so wish I had had more room for the pizza. It was a light and crispy Neopolitan-style pie with the very freshest and top quality ingredients. Def looking forward to coming back.
Good restaurant that not many people know about due to the location being a little off the main road in Longwood. Overall, it had a good vibe and thematically matched what I thought the restaurant wanted to show: Italian at its finest. I could tell the restaurant is truly made for larger groups that want to relax and enjoy good tasting wine and Italian cuisine. We went simply to enjoy a new restaurant and Italian food- it delivered. We got the chicken parm which was a large portion and very delicious and a pasta of some sort which was also very good. I would rate this restaurant a 7.5/10 if it were nearer to other fine Italian restaurants, but due to its location, a 8.5/10 is granted.
