I love Zazas (or used to love Zazas). I would get the BOGO dinner meals on Tuesday from the Curry Ford location and wish I had gotten 2 BOGOs. However recently Zazas quality has gone down. This was my first time at this location and will probably be my last. The location is good, the staff was nice, but the food was no bueno. I got the mojo chicken and it was flavorless. The congri (black beans and rice) was a strange flavor that had an overwhelming olive taste. My wife got the vaca frita and it was better but still not that good. Overall not a satisfying meal, maybe it was a bad day or that location, but I don’t expect to go again anytime soon.
Absolutely excellent. Despite being a chain, Zaza manages to exceed expectations. As a lover Cuban food I approached Zaza with apprehension given its chain status. I feared I was in for some sort of fast food, low quality meal. However this simply did not turn out to be the case. When I try a new Cuban restaurant I always get a standard Cuban sandwich first, as a litmus test of sorts. If you cannot make a good Cuban than its easy to assume the rest of your menu is fairly shoddy as well. As it turns out it wasn’t just good, but exceptional. After multiple visits I can say hands down , Zaza is one of the best Cuban restaurants around. Fear not the franchise and just enjoy all the great food they have to offer.
This place is excellent. Definitely one of the best Cuban restaurants around for a great price. Ropa Viaja and Steak w/ Onions is amazing! I also recommend the pastries and the cafe con leche. The place is very clean as well which is always a plus.
