The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. Started with the mozzarella app which was excellent. I had a NY Strip and my husband had the house made burger. Superb! Nice locally owned gem.

The Back Room Steakhouse is a diamond in the rough. The restaurant is tucked back in a small shopping center with almost no signage. Once inside, the wooden walls and floors give a nice ambiance. The food is simply the best in the area – without question. We have dined there several times with meals that ranged from the best hamburger I have ever had to the best steak as well. Just so you know me a bit, we regularly dine in the finer restaurants and have traveled extensively and have had meals that cost 5 times the cost of a meal at the Back Room Steakhouse. I have had a Kobi steak in Las Vegas that I paid almost $100 for 4 ounces and the steak at this restaurant was hands down a better taste and just as tender. The bread, yes the bread is wonderful. Most restaurants offer cheap and lousy bread. Not at this establishment. Everything is top of the line.

Way too expensive. Steak is good. Service is good except the kitchen door keeps bumping servers on both sides. The door hinges are attached on the wrong side.Too many servers for the small dining room.Again, steak is excellent, however the presentation need some work. For example the filet mignon was served with a glob of smashed potatoes and asparagus. A Portobello mushroom cap would have been a nice topping for the price. A national mushroom plant is only three miles away. The calamari had a great sauce was well and evenly breaded, but the portion a little skimpy. I tried the scallops with pasta. Well, the scallops were too salty and the pasta stuck together like a ball due to oversaucing. It became a sticky pile. A few basil leaves could have dressed it up. The menu prices appeared to be upped and have become the most expensive menu in the region. But, I must be honest the steak is better than Ruth Chris or Houston. However, it’s still an inline restaurant and it is in Apopka.

Wonderful addition to our local dining options. The steaks are outstanding, and service is very friendly and prompt. This is equal to many of the top-end steakhouses, with a warm, local touch. I was impressed and very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely return and make this a regular stop.
