Glad we finally discovered Cafe Ragazzi. Had never been to this restaurant and now we know what we’ve been missing. We ordered the Scamponi Giganti alla Griglia (grilled prawns on a bed of saffron risotto), the fillet of red snapper francese and Saltinboca alla Romana (tender veal scallops of veal with prosciutto di Parma in a red wine sauce). Can’t tell you which one was best because all of them were spectacular. The tiramisu was too heavy on the cream, but the pears flambe with ice cream were up to par with the excellence of the entrees. Service was very friendly and efficient, but the restaurant was full and they missed a few details, which is expected on a busy night.
Been coming 27 yrs, won’t be back. Osso bocco was all bone and fat.
I agree the change is not fir the better , anyone know where Emilio n Beto went , did they open another resturant ? They knew had to treat the clientele , like family !!!

Good Food – OK Service. Went in for a late night dinner earlier in the week. We were going to try another place down the street but they had a table at Cafe Ragazzi so we decided to give it a try. I had a great salad. The arugula was the best I’ve had in a while. very surprised. The rest of my dinner was good, but not great.I don’t know if it’s because of the holidays, but the service was mediocre. Not bad, but I expected more.
