Excellent food. Located at the exclusive Bal Harbor Shoppes this restaurant has inside/outside dining. Due to the beautiful evening we decided to sit outside. Very busy and pretty full early evening on a Wednesday. The service was excellent. The catch of the day was Chilean Sea Bass which was par to none (market price though!). The coconut flan was also superb! A bit pricey but you will not be disappointed if you want a quality meal. And with good portions.
Carpaccio bal harbour, behind the scenes…I know for a fact that not everything is what it looks like.Ordered a top shelf vodka and got a cheap vodka ..hard rock …yes that’s the truth …San pelegrino water refilled with fountain soda water..Beef carpaccio no fill mignon , chunck cut slightly thin so you don’t feel the toughness…Soups lentil , pasta fagioli cooked with big pieces of pork skin , yes even though the large Jewish local guests don’t know that.Next time you go be aware of all not everything is what it seems.

Great People Watching. Okay, if you’re in the Miami area you just have to visit Bal Harbour shops. For heaven’s sake don’t buy anything, just go for the people watching, which is best done at Carpaccio. The food is pretty good and the service is efficient, but the clientele……what a hoot.Women walking around with their fake this and that. Men sitting there looking pompous and pretending not to stare at the this and that. It feels like a different world, which for me is the point of travel: to experience things I don’t normally experience.
Great Italian food. This is an awesome restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Started off with a crisp and tasty misto salad, followed by fabulous pizza from their wood burining stove. To top it off I tried the rigatoni al pomodoro. It was absolutely subliime and served perfectly al dente with a wonderful hint of basil and delicious tomatoes and spices. Highly recommended if you!re looking for delicious Italian food.
