Makoto is part of a restaurant chain that has over 30 food establishments in several cities of the United States, some of them in Florida, as is the case with Le Zoo, Steak 954 and Continental. The preparation and presentation of the dishes is classy and tasteful . Their specialty is Japanese food and the robata or robatayaki (literally, fireside-cooking), which can be enjoyed al fresco or indoors. 2 things on their menu that keep me going back. 1. Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice2. Fruit toban yaki DessertThe dessert is probably the BEST dessert I EVER had! (And I’m a baker), you have to try it to believe it…I just keep on going back for those two. Not everything is very good though… My fish often comes too cook -sea bass- some dishes are not as tasty as others. Portions are chi-chi small (but I’m totally fine with that!)Nice outside sitting area, service can be slow, but waiters are usually very nice.
