Amazing restaurant!. We recently spent a week at Santa Rosa Beach, and our dinner at Boondocks was outstanding! Everyone had something different, and it was all fabulous! Don’t miss this dining experience!!!I always depend on review websites, but this is the first entry I have ever submitted…thank you, Boondocks staff!!!
Not the same as last year. We ate here once before and loved it. This year no to much. Ordered appetizer crab claws. Should have asked what market price was 21.99 hello really! It was small basket on top of that. Waited and hour probably won’t go back.
Some of the best fried shrimp ever! Great service. Even after closing they opened the gift shop Back up just for us.
Will come back again & again. We LOVED this place. I cannot wait to come back and take the whole family. I was a little turned off at when we pulled up. It looked old & worn out. HOWEVER, the staff was friendly and pleasant. Not overly friendly, which I prefer. We waited outside on the dock & watched the fish & jellyfish swim 🙂 I ordered fried oysters & scallops, cheese grits, & corn. We loved the atmosphere first & the food second. We will be back!
Just ok. Their shrimp were good but it was over priced and way out in the middle of nowhere. captains table is better and a better value.
We drove out of our way to go eat here and it was so worth the drive. The food was wonderful. I had a fried shrimp platter and my husband had the steamed shrimp. Everybody that works here is very friendly. We will most definitely eat here again. We give it 5 stars!
Go Only if You’re Not Local. The staff is nice and the food is edible, but this isn’t a place set up to feed locals. It’s for tourists! It’s for people to visit, walk down by the water, take a few pictures, buy a couple of geegaws (a la Cracker Barrel), and then to gush about when they get back up north. Sunburned visitors can shower, squeeze back into their clothes, take a short ride, then bump their sore legs on short tables, and pinch their tails in uncomfortable straight chairs, while paying way too much for their food.Locals, stay away!!
