I had the Captains Platter here. It was very good I thought. The scallops were pretty abut were plentiful. Very good shrimp, oysters and cod. It was quite busy and service was pretty good. Would definitely go here again.
I go here for the read beans and rice or the gumbo. This place has the best in town! Friends enjoy the panama jack chicken sandwich and have given me a bite before (as I can never change my order from the previous mentioned because they are so good!) and it is amazing as well!
I enjoy their baked and raw oysters. Their gumbo is on point. Neat atmosphere. Cold beer. They get a low rating because their service staff needs a swift round house kick to the face. Seriously. How hard is it to sit your patrons, take a order, bring the order in a timely fashion and make sure they don’t run out of drinks? Esp when you’re empty and you have a ton of folks working? SMDH…& esp when you’re over priced for the small amt of food portions.
Huge hamburger served on a onion bun with lettuce , tomato, and onion. You’ll need a carry out box to finish this burger. This dish was not to our liking. Waitress graciously took it off our ticket. Some people do not like yellow curry and I guess we found out by ordering this dish.
Diner passing through. Don’t want to go into tedious detail, most everything was good and service was excellent. But I ordered a seafood platter that the only way I can describe it is it had to be a dinner that had been sent back by another diner and reheated in a microwave. Everything was stuck together and there was a puddle of oil on the bottom of the plate that the fries were laying in. Needless to say they were not edible. Wish I had tried the red beans and rice that I saw another diner eating, looked very good and were piping hot. I know everyone has an off night so I may try it again.
TERRIBLE!. Went here bc of online reviews for our rehearsal dinner,17 people with reservation. Some people got their appetizers before their food,some people after. Salad was gross. Bread came to the table after an hour. We collectively got dinner after sitting for TWO HOURS. Food was cold. Was stIll cold even after i sent it back and asked for it microwaved. Worst experience at a restarrant EVER. Will not be back. Hoping I save someone else this misery. Go to the Wicked Wheel. Had lunch there today and they were great.
Fish sandwich. The three of us had just a fish sandwich for lunch today. (8.95 each). They come with a bag of chips. They modestly describe it as flaky fish sandwich. It is that and much more. We were seated very promptly. Drinks were served almost immediately. The food came out not much later and it was hot. It was very hot and seemed to be the freshest fish sandwich we had had in a long time. Not of the pre-frozen kind. Service was absolutely outstanding, efficient and very friendly.. Already making plans to return this week.
