  This is a long overdue Review, I loved working here, the Bosses are ok, they are good people. But, they can tend to have 2 different outlooks for the business. they each at times have their own way of doing things. which can get stressful on Employees. Everything is not always the employees fault for bad service. It can be the bosses fault just as much. I worked here for 4 years . I had a key to open the restaurant in the morning. this was my first job I ever had. was I perfect at my job. I will be honest. No I was not. but I always tried my best. The Bosses like to Set up employees to fail. they told me I was set up but for what they would not say. when i was fired I left. I did not want to work where I was going to get set up. I got into conflicts with the 2 bosses for doing what the lazy dog bible had on a recipe. the bosses would each tell employees to do it different ways. Mo and Paula might even tell you 2 different ways. neither of which matched the bible. so as an employee. the bosses put 3 ways to do it in front of me . then when I did it one of the 3 ways. I would always get into trouble. that can get stressful. Mo and I got into a serious convo about this. we both snapped and responded poorly . to save me from saying something wrong , I just agreed with her . saying yes Ma’am . also in fear of losing my job. I ended up getting fired anyways. if you do not know ,they have a binder called the Lazy Dog Bible( has Lazy Dog Secrets for food in it). They say it is the law of the business. and day one of hiring you they tell you to always follow the recipes in it . but tend to tell employees to do the recipe a different way . then later ask if we followed the bible. as an employee our answer is then no. because we listened to the boss. we would then get into trouble for listening to the other boss. Im not going to disclose secret recipes. I could. but im not . I will say, the building is not as clean as you would think. there is often bug or rats in the build . If you do not believe me . look on top of the Large walk in cooler. there was rat droppings up there when I worked here. the food is always frozen at some point in time . to keep it from going bad. or something is over prepped then frozen, to be pulled at a latter date. which could be a while later. the grouper is not really grouper ,it is Pollock( they charge you grouper price for this by the way). except if you get a fried sandwich. then it is grouper. when chicken gets slimy the bosses tell employees to rinse it of and cook it. Even if it had an odor. they think it is okay to do so. so if you got food poisoning it was possible you got it from here. the roof leaks and has wet spots and possible could be molded. the Co2 lines for the soda machine never get cleaned. in the heat of a rush they will pre-cook chicken or beef burgers. and put them in water, to pull from if needed. If your food was dry . it was probably heated twice. I could go on and on . what I am saying is . I used to work here and the bosses do not treat the employees the same as customers .and always try to find work arounds to fix their problems. ps. Paula and Mo . you need to be nicer to your employees. your employees are what drive your business forward. If your in a bad mood, so are they . If you have issues with a employee. calmly talk to them privately about it . yes employee can get defensive about the topic. but your reaction is 10 times more important. If you would respond to your work force with a clear non-hateful maner. you would have better employees and would have a better work place environment. I hope you the best.

  Good food. Food has always been good (get the grouper fingers, you won’t be disappointed!), albeit a little pricey. They do have specials daily/weekly, and I think it’s Tuesday nights kids eat free. The atmosphere is a little strange, it’s kind of like a cafeteria with regular home-taken pictures of dogs everywhere and a few framed pictures of dogs on posters. Nice Mom n Pop place, we go there quite often living way out here in the boonies. Worth a try if you haven’t been there before!

  Only place up here. Used to be reasonably priced but not anymore. Pretty good food but not good value.

  Well this pretty much the only restuarant in the area. Great for those of us that live far away from town but don’t feel like cooking. It’s a bit pricey but better than driving to town.
