Had a great lunch, food was awesome. Place is small, maybe 4 or 5 tables and counter seating for 4. Well worth it.
Best place in town for authentic Hispanic food. Prices are unbelievable too, you can eat for under $10. Highly recommend it.
Very bad service. The manager/owner had very bad attitude. The tables, chairs and floor were dirty. Our meals were incomplete. This is not a good place to eat. We need a better Colombian Restaurant in JAX.
Love the cheese stuffed bread.
Completely unamericanized, which is amazing – a rarity to be cherished! I had been craving pandeyuca after a trip to ecuador, and I was able to get it here. Cheap and honest fare. Arepas made fresh to order, hot and very fresh. Can’t wait to come back and try other stuff.
Here’s to being small, Colombian & Popular. Growing up, I admit we ate more Peruvian food than Colombian food, but any chance we got we went for it. There weren’t that many options in Jacksonville, so when I found out about this place, I made it a point to try it on a trip back home. The place was a very small place but it always had a small crowd. The food smelled great, but what really set my taste buds and memories ablaze were the baked good. Usually, it was family coming to visit from Miami or Bogota that would bring us these baked good, but now there is this place that is close by and consistantly good. Since I graduated and moved back to Jacksonville, I have been going here every other weekend, just to buy pan de bono and almojabanas. Both are incredible with hot chocolate, let alone coffee in the morning. I compare it to a larger version of the Brazilian Poa de Queijo. It’s phenominal! Really, that is what makes my weekend breakfast a treat. Lately I have been doing some of the traditional breakfast items. I like the arrepas with cheese (think of a cornmeal cake with cheese) and the sausage. I also enjoyed the weekend soups. The problem is getting there early enough to get what you want because on busy days they run out. It’s hard to get a table, so I suggest calling ahead and getting your order to go if you live close enough to them. I guess that’s the double edge sword of the small restaurant. Colombian food is popular and this place is bringing in more and more customers, so that’s great in that they won’t be closing for lack of business anytime soon.
Muy Bien!!!. Great little place , my wife is Colombian and trust me this place is a life saver.Love the hot box with empanadas, papas rellenas, pastel de yuca ,and arepa rellenas ready to go..Just wish they had ajiaco, changua, and tamales..Pero excelente comida Colombiana..Two thumbs up!!!
