We had a really good lunch at Tidbits Express on Saturday. We liked the touch screen ordering because it was user friendly and allowed us to take our time ordering our meals. The staff was friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The chicken salad sandwich was very tasty and the onion bun was delicious. The turkey sandwich was very large and the produce (lettuce, tomato and cucumber) was fresh and none of it had to be removed. The potato salad was ‘out of this world’ good! Also, there was ample seating available. We are looking forward to another visit!
Not everything in there gluten free lunch is gluten free. We where at luncheon that they catered the had premade boxes up one saying gluten free, my friend was so happy to see that due to the fact she has a wheat allergie.She grab the box and began to eat , in the middle of her meal she began to feel funny and start breaking out with hives her tough also began to swell I ran inside and asked them if everything in the box was gluten free they said no to my surprise I then asked them if everything is not gluten free why would you say so on the box!! They stated that the potatoe salad was not neither was the cookie, I then again said then why was it put in a gluten free box? Do you not realize you could harm or even kill someone with a severe food allergie?
Never a bad experience.. I frequent Tidbits Express often. Today, I’m eating the tuna melt, potatoe salad and gumbo. I love the tuna melt, rueben, and chicken salad sandwiches. And I especially love the potatoe salad and chicken and sausage gumbo. Tidbits is a no frills, simple restaurant with delicious food that I’m familiar with.
Food is ok but the touch screen ordering is retarded. Rather than have a lady yapping around the touch screens, they should put her behind a counter so she can take orders verbally.
