Very poor customer service. My friends and I came here for lunch. We sat and waited for over 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Mind you 4 people were standing around just talking. When we walked in the host was rude and just pointed us in the direction of where to sit. Didn’t hand us menus or anything. We ended up just walking out.
I used to really like this place. Ordered here today and I will definitely not be back. I used to come by once a week, but a few months ago had a bad experience with the food, I thought I would give it one more shot. It seems the place has gotten worse. The rolls I ordered were pretty much rice, one almost completely lacked avocado, this brings me to the shrimp sauce, if I had to describe it in two words; watery pepto-bismol.
I am the LEAST picky eater in terms of quality, etc. but this place is HORRIBLE! The food was completely and totally disgusting and actually literally made my husband sick (immediately) – and he’s from Eastern Europe so he has a very high germ tolerance. My rice was burnt – not just dry – literally burnt with a ton of black flakes in it. I don’t think our appetizer was real chicken it just tasted too weird. Even my soda tasted strange, not sure how that’s even possible, LOL. Our waitress was nice and attentive. However, the restaurant owner was EXTREMELY rude. He ignored the waitress for almost 10 min as she was trying to ask him a question to check us out…We were literally the only people in the restaurant (1 other guy waiting for takeout) and he knew we were waiting on him…but he just kept talking on the phone…It was crazy. There are so many options out there, DON’T go here…LOVE every other place like this I’ve been to in Jax!
Bought a groupon for this place and it was excellent. would definatly return.
Our waiter was not very knowledgeable about anything including the rules of the groupon. We specifically ordered off the dinner menu so we could use our groupon. It was a huge disaster and after talking to tjis person 5 times he finally realized we were in the right. Never going back. Clear soup was also disgusting.
I love this place. It’s the only sushi restaurant I’ve been coming to for years that is consistently amazing. Try everything! Super fresh fish, awesome quality and quantity. As a sushi snob who eats the real stuff, uni, tobiko with quail egg, unagi, etc etc
