WARNING DANGER WILL ROBINSON. Ticks me off royally when restaurants rate themselves. Obviously this should set off RED FLAGS, How smart is it that the first two ratings shown are by persons whom have each only made only two reviews. No need to look that closely at: by Bigmomo (2 reviews) & by Josh Harper (2 reviews). SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE both raters have only have rated this joint and only this joint. Go rate a McDonalds or something to build up your scores BOZO’s. That and this restaurant has seemed to change it’s name every season makes me concerned…shame on you. Earn your ratings the old fashioned way – by the public!
Outstanding Thai Food!!. I’ve eaten Thai food all over the world. Unless you’re in Thailand, this really is as good as it gets. The chef there really knows how to mix flavors with just the right amount of spice. Each time I go, I try to eat something new that I haven’t tried before. The pad thai is as good as I’ve had it anywhere else, but if you really want to be wowed, try the Siam Chi Chicken. It is outstanding!13 Apr, 2012READ THIS REVIEW! NEW OWNERS AS OF April 2, 2012. I visited this place before and after the new owners took over. I can say the food was pretty good with the old owners, but with the new owners the food is outstanding. The Tom Kha Gai soup is awesome. The drunken noodles are very good, and the sweet, sticky rice with mangoes is unlike any other dessert I’ve had! The quality of the food as well as the freshness was next level. I read in other reviews before going in that the atmosphere was authentic and it did not disappoint. And yes, you CAN get any of their dishes completely without spice if you choose. I’ve been to the other Thai restaurants around the Baymeadows area. Lemongrass’ food all tastes the same and Pattaya Thai’s quality just isn’t there. If you like good quality, authentic Thai food, this is the place for you.
Very enjoyable Thai experience. Interior decor is very pretty and makes for a very relaxing environment. Service was great too. The Duck Panang was tasty, and I highly recommend the satay and crab rangoons as appetizers. My grandmother and aunt who lived in Thailand for 10 years approved, so it must be pretty decent!
Warning, severe portion controls here!. OK, I thought the food was decent, but the value is horrible. My first and last trip here was for a takeout of green papaya salad (4/10), and pineapple shrimp fried rice (6/10). For a $20 lunch you would think they’d put chopsticks or a fork and napkin in the bag but they didn’t. Maybe I was supposed to eat all this with my fingers. The portions as I mentioned are extremely small, at least they were for takeout. And the papaya salad, which is hard to find, was dreadful. The papaya was served over a wedge of raw cabbage which is virtually impossible to eat, and the papaya was gone in about 4 bites. Likewise the fried rice was short on shrimp, although they were fresh and tasty. Too bad cause I live in the neighborhood and love Thai cuisine, but for now I’ll just stick with my stand by favorite for Asian across the street China Hut.
Beautiful decor , good service and excellent food. We had the Satay – peanut sauce and cucumber dip were yummy, dumplings , green curry and basil fried rice and the Thai iced coffee – everything was yummy !!! And there wasn’t much of a wait time either – recommend it for sure.
Everything was great!. I went to this place when it used to be a Japanese steak house. They have completely changed everything! It looks wonderful. The atmosphere is so genuine. There are orchids everywhere. Even 2 in the rest room. The wood paneling is so beautiful. If if I hadn’t like this place I might have gone back just to enjoy the decor. The food was great. We tried the spring roll appertizers. They were very delicious. The sauce that it came with was amazing. I had the Cashew entree with chicken, with medium spice. Entrees come with your choice of meats or tofu. It was very good. My veggies were a little undercooked but I like them crunchy. My friend ordered something and it came out as a mixture of 2 dishes. It was still good but not what he ordered. We also tried the coconut ice cream with fried banana coins. It was a perfect way to end a meal that was almost perfect.
