If you are looking for an authentic lebanese experience in Jacksonville, this is the place for you! After it was recommended to me by some Lebanese friends living in Jax, I decided to give it a try and invite my American hosts. And we all loved it! The ambiance is very nice, fancy, tables are spaced and the decor is very nice with some paintings of Lebanese scenery. They start by bringing pits bread with Zaatar and oil (thyme for dipping). The Mezze are very tasty, portions are big enough. We got the Grand mezze combo (Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Grape Leaves, Tabbouleh, and cheese sambousek, fatayer, falafel, kebbe (2 pieces of each) plus 4 grill skewers) and an extra plate of hummus… and everyone was just full and happy. My hosts could not believe their eyes – or their tastebuds;) They even serve Lebanese wine 🙂 Waiters are friendly, and the chef even visited our table.If you want to discover the Lebanese cuisine, or if you are Lebanese and miss Lebanons food, Mandaloun is not to be missed.Little downside though is that it is a little pricey.Well done Mandaloun!
