VERY hit or miss ….. As other reviewers have pointed out, service can in fact be terrible, rude, and slow. I’ve had tropicops with little or no toppings, dry disgusting pork or chicken and no sauces. Then, there’s been times when I get great food, and fast service. If you see more than 2 cars in the drive thru don’t bother.
Don’t Bother/Terrible Food. I just went thru the drive thru, and purchased chicken, with red beans and rice.The food had no flavor. The beans were totally dry and looked like they were a day old, along with the very dry bread roll.When this company first opened, the food was delicious. They have been going progressively downhill. I will not eat there again, and will not recommend them to anyone.

Don’t waste your money. The pork has no flavor or taste at all. The red beans and rice aren’t bad except they have no temperature. The pork also had no temperature. What a disappointment.

I ordered the two piece platter. I have never seen two more pitiful pieces of chicken. When I took it back, the manager was a jerk and said that all the pieces were the same. This is true because he did replace it with two equally pitiful pieces. Not good customer service!
So happy. So excited jax has these now. love their food, always tasty. yes this location is a bit awkward and crowded but nothing too major to be overlooked. the chicken and curry mustard and plaintains and red beans and rice are always MY FAV. I used to live in Orlando and loved eating here, when Jax got them, i took my husband for the 1st time–needless to say he is hooked and always asks when can we go?? And it is dirt cheap, i mean really, dinner for 2 for like $15….u can’t beat that and the flavors, salsas, sauces etc are incredible.
