  This was by far one of my worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a dozen raw oysters. They clearly had been shucked sometime much earlier than when they were served to me. Additionally none of the oysters were separated from the lower half of the shell which meant I then had to separate them using the flimsy plastic fork provided, mangling them to no end in the process. Really? A plastic fork?. I don’t want to sound like a oyster snob, however raw oyster’s on the half shell needing to be separated from the half shell is basic oyster shucking 101. Additionally a lot of shell fragments were in with the oysters which caused me to spend half of the time spitting them out into my napkin. I also had the crab cakes which was more bread than crab. They honestly had the consistency of a fried dough ball with a little crab. A good crabcake uses just enough breading to hold the crab together. Not the other way around. Did I mention the service? Absolutely terrible. It took forever to place my order, and forever to receive my order. They weren’t even that busy, I’m not sure how they were so dysfunctional. When the oysters were delivered, they did not even provide any crackers. Again, oyster 101. You eat raw oysters on crackers with cocktail sauce. When the girl eventually provided crackers, she only gave me eight. Come on, they were a dozen oysters. Don’t you think you should give 12 crackers when you serve 12 oysters. I can’t believe I even needed to ask again, but of course I did and again it took forever for those remaining crackers to be served.I looked at the food being served to the other patrons. I do not need to come back.

  Way overpriced for the food. The crawfish boil had one small potato, 1/3 ear of corn and a moderate amount of crawfish. The spice is OK (Old Bay with extra salt). The staff was friendly and the food is supposed to be locally sourced. Do NOT get the beignets. They are disgusting and not even close to what beignets should be.

  Bad services, bad atmosphere, no food?. My girlfriend and I went here at the Chatty Crab two weeks ago and it was the worst restaurant i been to up to date. At 7:00we got inside an not busy at all so got seated fast. 7:05 bartender can over and we ordered drinks an starter app. 7:25 no drinks or app an the bartender didn’t even check on us an was to busy talking to the ppl at the bar which all of worked there btw. 7:30 finally got our drinks and was told drinks was the app was coming soon and we ordered our dinner. 8:10 no food as came out bartender sitting up smoking a cig not doing nothing and another couple that came after us looked in the kitchen an said every one back there was standing around an no food was being cooked so we left. Everything was bad from jump street, don’t know if ever coming back.
