Yummy!. I was in the mood for Indian food and this place hit the spot. The restaurant was stylish. The service was great and the food came out in a timely manner. If you go on Tuesday or Thursday, certain entrees are buy one and get half off of the second. We enjoyed it and would eat there again.

Really good place for Indian.. We have eaten Indian all over the world and have had some very good and very bad food. This was very good. The down side is the kitchen is still working out the kinks and an entree made it to the table before the biryani and nann and way before the other entrees… but it was delicious nonetheless. We shared Lamb Samosas for appetizer and loved them. I had a Tandoori Game Hen which was delicious and perfectly cooked… the skin was crispy and the meat was so tender and moist. my wife had the Tandoori Pompano, which was also very good. Our friends had the Chicken Tikka Marsala (which was the entree which came out early) and Lamb Kali Mirch… both very tasty. We shared some garlic-spring onion naan and lamb biryani – loved it. Washed it all down with some Kingfisher beer. It was a fun time for all! We will be back.

Lunch Buffet while small was an excellent introduction to Indian food. Having only tried Indian food once before its a bit daunting being handed a menu while having no idea what to expect from the items listed. Laying out a selection of items from the menu buffet-style at a reasonable price made this restaurant an excellent choice for those seeking an initiation to Indian cuisine. The service was good and I really enjoyed the music (most ethnic restaurants go with more traditional music but it was a great change of pace to hear Indian rock.) While I enjoyed the food I made sure to take note of the names so that I can order entries in the future as I’m sure they would be even better.

Quality has been declining. We started coming here right after they opened last year. It was by far the best Indian food in Jacksonville. We sent everyone there. The past two times the food has been poor. I think the introduction of the buffet was the end of their quality food. The last time we ate there the biryani was obviously not made fresh, the rice was over cooked, the vegetables were different and were not cooked to order like they had been in the past. Nothing we ordered had the level of quality we were expecting. It is a shame, cuz for a while they were great… I will second that the wait staff and management has never been friendly…but we can deal with bad service for good food…but, bad food and poor service is not acceptable.

The best Indian Bistro in Jax!. A fairly new entrant into the Jax ethnic cuisine market, Zesty brings quality and finesse to the otherwise typically monotonous Indian restaurant ambience. Food quality is excellent, service has improved tremendously since the early days after the restaurant opened. With the quality of the food and the theme, the restaurant can easily be positioned as an upscale bistro.

If you’re expecting buffet style Indian food this is not the place.I had heard that service was bad and the plate portions were too small but I decided to give this place a try for lunch with two of my friends. The food was excellent and portions were big and service was great, our server Aisha was pleasant and described the plates to us accurately. Our total bill was $84 for 4 people including tax and tip. $9 Naan bread sampler, $22 mixed tandoori grill, $17 chicken tandoori plate, and I think another $17 for chicken tikka masala. I’ll post pictures later.
