Scratch kitchen where the chef is the owner. No mass pots of pre-made food, but hand crafted dishes made when you order. And my good was it good. Great flavors, amazing service. Definitely going back here!
Best Italian eatery that I am aware of in this area! A well-kept secret. I have never had one complaint about anything. Carmelo’s wife, Anna, welcomes you like you are family. I absolutely LOVE the Chicken Francaise! Always tender and always cooked to perfection. My picky husband loves it, too, but he has become addicted to the Fettuccine Alfredo. The homemade bread is to die for! I always eat an entire loaf by myself. Generous food portions. The soup is an entire bowl not a cup. Thanks to everybody there for making my visits so enjoyable. If you have never been there, you owe it to your tummy to make a visit. Oh, and top it off with a delicious dessert and a totally authentic cappuccino.
Best Italian in the Area. Amici is a great Italian Restaurant. We have visited Italy many times and know for sure that the food in Amici is authentic and very good quality. Every time we try a different Italian restaurant, we are disappointed. Amici has not only authentic recipes, but also fresh ingredients. All appetizers and entres we tried were excellent and the portions are good size. We always have delicious left overs next day. The service is great as well. We are really lucky to have this Italian restaurant close by. What is best about Amici – they are consistent in good food and excellent service. We always go home very happy with our meal.
Finally!. I finally found an Itailian eatery that serves real Itailian food! Everything homemade. Array of sauces, all to die for! Warm bread basket w/ oil…mmmm good. Large portions, enough to take home for another meal. Highly recommend. BYOB too!
Clearwater residents. We have eaten in Italian restaurants from Venice to Palermo, from new York city to Miami. This restaurant is REAL home cooking. We come from Italian families and grew up eating Mama’s cooking. This is the real deal. If you are looking for an authentic Italian meal this is the place. If you want a big name, big prices and your meals prepared by a team of non Italians head elsewhere and over to Tampa. If you want your meal prepared by the owner and his sons and a restaurant that is truly a family run operation this is the place. Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices.
Simply fantastic. If you love seafood get the luinguine del gulfo. Eggplant parmesan was wonderful too. Good service.
NCFOODGUY. This is by far the best Italian food in the entire Tampa Bay area. We lived many years in the New York city area and know the difference. This is a small family run operation. The Chef Carmello, his brother Joe and their sons prepare and serve only the best of the best at reaonable prices. If I had to pick my favorite dish, which is difficult, it would be the Veal Saltimboca…just wonderful. The only complaint I ever heard was that they had very limited seating. They have now fixed that by acquiring the space adjoining and now can easily seat up to 100. You must try this place…you will not be disappointed. Also, they have a small mostly Italian wine selection, so if you prefer a California or other wines they will be happy to open it for a modest $10 fee.
