Have you ever had a waiter elegantly pull your napkin out of the glass and hand it to you to place on your lap? That was my introduction to the waitstaff at Roy’s. Suffice to say ambiance, attentiveness – check, check. I was impressed. The only sour note was the hostess seating us at the only table that had shafts of harsh sunlight beaming down upon us. We requested to move and Michael, our lead waiter and his minions; seriously I am not kidding there were two or three other staff that attended any need we had. After a long deliberation we decided on what to order.Two of us shared the Canoe Appetizer containing: Szechuan Ribs – Spicy Tuna Roll – Lobster Potstickers – Filet Yakitori – Chicken Satay. The two best were the lobster potstickers and the ribs. We also shared the Ebi Roll which was Shrimp Tempura – Coconut – Cream Cheese – Avocado – Habanero Aioli – Nitsume – Mango. It was fantastic as well.Another member of the party ordered the Braised Short Ribs of Beef and said it was good as well.We all ordered the Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert and it was phenomenal. It came warm, fresh out of the oven and with sides of fresh pineapple and coconut ice cream.Way to go Roy’s! I will be back to try more things.
Very good and service is fantastic. What surprises me is that Roy’s is consistent across the nation. Food is always outstanding, service is great. We went on a Monday night in Bo it’s Springs and they have some crazy pricing of $37pp for app, main, and dessert.
