What a joke. Had a main course but was completely hungry after eating it. I didn’t care what the price was, just thought one shouldn’t be left hungry. talked to manager but was met with defensive excuses. I felt very ripped off and haven’t felt this way in I can’t remember if ever. Having eaten in restraints all over the midwest, California, east coast, and worked in the restraint industry before, i know how it works. Regardless, as a customer, one should have some feeling of being heard if the meal isn’t at all satisfactory. In short, the meal was a complete rip off, the manager was defensive about it, and even though the setting is nice, I won’t ever go back to a place that is not genuinely into fulfilling the customer stomach wise or otherwise. The worst place on my book.

NEED NEW MANAGMENT!. It was horrible the ribeye was way overdone we respectively asked for it to be replaced. the manager comes back acting very rude insisting that the steak was not overdone and was perfect and that he has been serving steaks for 35 years and that we couldn’t see the pinkness since it was dark!! it was puck grey and the waitresses said themselves that they agreeded. we ended up just getting the steak taken off the bill and leaving. I have never in my life been treated is disrespectively by a general manager NEVER stepping foot in that place again!
Rude employees!. The bartender Mike was rude to everyone in my party. I nor many will return.
DONT order an Entree at Banana Boat!. Just returned home from a very disappointing meal at the Banana Boat. Two parties at our table ordered the macadamia encrusted grouper that was to be served with a veggie and choice of side. When the entre arrived, the entire table was shocked at how SMALL the portion of the grouper appeared on both our plates. Both entrees arrived with MAYBE at best a three ounce portion of fish along with approximately 10 pieces of green bean. With a $21.00 + price point the expectation certainly did not come close to matching what was provided. If I were the owner I would have been mortified to know that this meal was actually served to customers. As a past owner of a restaurant, I understand that food costs are constantly rising and so there has to be cuts that come from some where. It should never be at the customers expense. Instead the focus should be on customer retention and satisfaction. As a business owner we look at how we can reduce costs like theft, and waste employee overhead instead. Which leads me to acknowledge that the current manager, Angela, is one such example of overhead expense that should be re-evaluated. Upon receipt of the meal we notified the server that the meals were not acceptable and explained why. The server later came back to let us know that the manager would take $2.00 off each of our meals. This to us was quite an insult. We asked to have the manager speak to us at the table. She arrived a few minutes later extremely defensive and told us that we had two choices….to either accept the $2.00 off our meals or to return them with nothing offered in its place! Unreal. Needless to say this manager’s behavior was extremely unprofessional and left us unhappy with our choice of restaurants. We ponder whether or not this was Angela’s first night as manager. At the end of the day, I will not eat an entre at the Banana Boat ever again and I really hope that Angela receives the proper managerial training that she so desperately requires. Her behavior has cost the owners of the Banana Boat the benefit of the repeat revenues of our party of five and would bet that Angela’s lack of managerial skills have had the same affect on numerous others as well.
Good Food. Great waterfront eatery, good food and exotic drinks, reasonably priced. Their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm is superb, dinner specials are also great. It’s a fun place with good music and for special occasions birthday, anniversary etc it’s definitely the place for sure.
