The food is always good at Tijuana since it’s a chain. So you will get consistent quality. We stopped here and enjoyed the food and free wifi. The service was not the greatest. At most Tijuanas I’ve been to they constantly stop and see how you are doing, if you need a refill, etc. This one we waited and waited and eventually had to go up to get a refill. That is a minor complaint though, recommend this if you like TexMex and it has good gluten-free options.
I’m originally from San Diego, and grew up eating Mexican food. In many places (like Michigan where I now reside) there simply isn’t even a suitable substitute for real Mexican food. Tijuana Flats isn’t genuine Mexican food, but it comes the closest of any fast food option I’ve encountered. Today I had an enchilada meal with a draft orange mango IPA, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was less than $11!
