Yuck. I haven’t been to a red lobster in 15 years and today I was reminded why. The bathroom had water or urine all over the floor. I got it on the bottom of my pant leg and I’m disgusted. The food was no better than the bathroom. Broiled scallops were more like boiled scallops. Shrimp was cold. Will not ever go back.
Not so great. The cheese fondue gave me a stomach ache and there’s only so much of it that you can eat before you get sick of it. The lobster pizza is salty.The broccoli is cold and never cooked all the way. There’s only one good thing about this place and that’s the appetizer cheese biscuits.
Never Again!. I won’t be stepping into any Red Lobster restaurants again. They have always been so so but my last trip was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. I had seen them advertise lobster tacos on TV and since my favorite restaurant for eating lobster tacos is too far for a regular visit, I thought I would try the version at Red Lobster. When it arrived there was lots of shrimp and a few very thin pieces of lobster. It looked like leg meat from about three legs. If any of you know lobster than you know that unless the lobster is huge the leg meat is tiny. It was a huge example of bait and switch. This was a shrimp taco with an almost non existent hint of lobster. I hate to be lied too, especially in a restaurant. They won’t get an opportunity to lie to me again.
Atmosphere. One mid afternoon my neighbor and I decided to stop and have a late lunch. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. It was dark and the floors were littered with scraps of food, making for a not so appetizing meal. The food was average.
Never Again. This place is completely over rated. The shrimp was obviously frozen. It was so crowded it took over 20 minutes to find a parking space, then you had to wait 45 minutes. SO not worth it. Service was slow and it took forever to get our food. The next time I want shrimp, I’ll go to the Shrimp Boat in Brandon!
I was surprised. We have not had the best luck from Red Lobster but this location was great! Good service, good food and recently remodeled. The only issue was the amount vs price is not as good as it should be…other than that we had a good time.
So So Seafood. I like everything about this restaurant chain except the seafood. It seems that the quality and quantity have gone downhill over the past 6 or 7 years. Funny, my favorite, sea scallops, were missing from the lunch menu. So, I just had the fried shrimp ($8.25) and, yes, there were 12 of them but they were very small and tasteless. It was the tarter sauce that saved the meal. Otherwise, the biscuits, slaw, baked potato, and server were excellent.
