Hands down the best tacos in the Brandon area! We recently relocated to the area and come from Colorado and New Mexico where we have some great Mexican food and I was so disappointed by every other Mexican restaurant that we tried in the area, until we visited Romi’s (probably the 5th place that we tried at the time). I’ll be honest, I haven’t eaten anything else here beyond chips, salsa, beans, rice and almost every taco they offer, so I can’t speak to other things, but everything I’ve had has been fantastic. It’s authentic, family owned, inexpensive and absolutely delicious! I visit multiple times a week.
Negative/Positive: The negative – price on menu is not the actual price when I was there. We were not told until we saw the bill. The forgot to print new menu. How is that my concern. This is so 3rd world and I will not return unless someone else is paying!!! The positive – the food was good and no complaints. This seems to be Bait and Switch which is illegal.
Hidden Gem!!. I am a foodie and I tend to try places off the beaten path. I have been going to this taco stand for over a year now and thought it was high time I wrote a review. I LOVE this place!!! The value is outstanding, they give you a nice portion for the money but moreover the food is authentic and always tasty. I Highly recommend the #11 with crispy tacos Al Pastor or my latest obsession Spicy Shrimp (to which I have them add carnitas) Wow! so good. The atmosphere is not why you come here, its the friendly service and awesome food. If you want no frills authentic Mexican this place is it. Happy eating 🙂
I had Al Pastor, Tacos and a Quesadilla and a Aguas Frescas Tamarindo. Very fresh, very tasty. I’ll be back.
