My daughter and I had breakfast there, being fortunate enough to get counter seats, as they are always busy. The restaurant was spotless, the service was friendly, and the food was excellent and fast. I had John’s skillet and my daughter had the one-pancake option from the kids menu, which was replete with chocolate chips. The skillet is a very robust meal, coming with cheese (I chose cheddar), two eggs to your specs (scrambled for me), sausage gravy (optional), fries or hash-browns (I went with the latter), and a bread (I chose a biscuit that was light, flaky, and delicious). Then there is one extra foodstuff free and you can choose among about 10 more. I selected: spinach, jalapeos, onions, and tomatoes. It was hearty and delicious and, three hours later, I am still full. Coffee was excellent and I left completely satisfied. Well done, Recipe Box. My family and I will definitely be back! 🙂
Great place for Breakfast, always busy but we’ve never had to wait too long, fast service with huge portions. I would highly recommend the Corn Beef Hash

Amazing! Very consistent. My family goes often and we have never been dissatisfied by the menu or the service. Everything I have ordered has been cooked to perfection. Perfect little restaurant 🙂
Consistent. I love the Recipe box and the staff. It really is like the old diner’s we used to go to when I was young. We go every Sunday morning for breakfast and occasionally for lunch.
Our server was excellent as well as the food. Will definitely go back. It’s worth the drive from Carrollwood
