Very disappointed with the meal from Tokyo Riverview! We called in to place a to-go order and the gave us the wrong items. We asked for only white sauce for 1 meal we got only white sauce for both. We ordered sushi volcano roll. There was no topping on the volcano and it was covered in a nasty brown sauce. The taste was horrible! I will never order from this place ever again. I wouldn’t doubt they go out of business.
The Best in Brandon area!. Way better then Kobes and JoTos in Brandon. They were even willing to make my husband his own side of rice with out onions in it. We have been very impressed everytime we go! By far better than JoTos and even a little better then Kobes. We will drive past both of them to get to Tokyo.
Best Hibachi so far!. We were wary to try another hibachi restaurant since we didn’t care for Kobe (high priced/bad service/we left hungry) and Ryuu was good…still not much going on there.But we gave this newer place a try and I am glad we did. We had Sam who did the cooking/show and he had my wife and I rolling…he was hysterical! The food was plentiful and delicious!!! We also had a $10 off coupon if you spent $50 which is kinda easy to do. I don’t mind as long as it was enjoyable…and it was. So, if you don’t live in the Valrico area and you are more in Brandon…this is worth the drive! They also have a great sushi bar on the right side of the restaurant. Enjoy!
The food is good, consistently. Whatever you do DO NOT, DO NOT! ORDER TO GO OVER THE PHONE AT THIS PLACE. You will not get your order right, not even close. We live close by, and we enjoy the good food, but have tried ordering over the phone several times, and orders ALWAYS come wrong. It does not matter who you get on the phone, your order is guaranteed to not even be close to what you originally order. I went to the extend of spelling words in order to be understood, I even ask person to repeat (verify order) no go!! With all do respect, they just can’t take an order over the phone, and actually get it close to right. 🙁
