Very underwhelmed by not only the service but the food. My wife had the fish tacos and they tasted terrible, I had the shrimp which was not seasoned well and extremely overpriced. For anyone looking to try a local experience skip this place. The waitress was rude and unconcerned we got no refills and once we sat we didn’t see her again until the check came. Don’t waste your time or your money here
Sorry but white table cloths do not make a fine dinning restaurant especially at a strip mall. Food is way over priced and bland. Place was dead us and one other couple and service was still bad.
Every thing is made fresh on the premises, and with obvious pride. I was actually pleased when I was told that they were out of an item, meaning it wasn’t stuck in a freezer for months.The fish sandwich was a bite of heaven: perfectly grilled fish, nice and warm, with a fresh toasted bun and paired with a cool slice of tomato and red onion.Looking at the other lunch plates around the dining room (can you blame me?) made me want to return here to try more of their fresh delicious food. The outside is deceptively unassuming, but the interior is spacious and welcoming. The men’s bathroom was spotlessly clean, which is always a good sign of the general cleanliness of a restaurant.
Wonderful restaurant, the food was fresh and amazing, and the staff is always on point each visit that I make! I will definitely refer other to experience The fishing hole and I will be back as often as possible.
Let’s start out by saying how surprising this little fishing hole is. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s located in a strip mall. Once inside it’s very charming with the cloth tablecloths and ambient candlelight. The food was tasty, though the menu isn’t extensive. Definitely worth a shot if you’re in the mood for a cozy, quaint dining experience.
This place was excellent! My husband and I had the fish tacos. He opted for blackened while I had the fried. Both were delicious. The slaw and black beans and rice were our sides of choice. Both were outstanding. The servers were very good at their jobs, checking in with each table numerous times. A definite must try.
Outstanding! I had a business lunch with a medium sized group. We were seated quickly and the service was excellent. I go through beverages faster than just about anyone I know and they kept my class full of delicious sweet tea. Everyone’s meals were delicious. We had the smoked tuna dip which was flavorful and spicy and only lasted on our cable a matter of minutes before being devoured. I had the flounder special which was prepared perfectly along with what have to be the most delicious hush puppies in town. Definitely a great place for seafood lovers.
