Very disappointed with my food order tonight. It was cold, tasteless and disgusting. The ribs were dry and had no flavor, the garlic bread was just plain buttered toast, the pork slices were dry and fatty, french fries were overcooked and too hard to eat plus, they no longer have their Carolina vinegar sauce and only leave you with 2 choices now sweet and hot. Not everyone likes sweet bbq sauce and cannot have spicy food. This is the first time I ever had a problem with them. One time is good enough for me and most likely won’t be returning in the future.
While we have one of these in my home city as well, I found this one to be a large step up from ours. The people tending the smoker seemed to take greater care or know what they are doing a little better as the meat was moist and flavorful. It’s very easy to dry out chicken and theirs was not. The decor inside reminds you of a southern truck stop and the staff the night we were there were stretched thin because of the hurricane but kept a smile on their face and kept things moving alone despite the huge crowd waiting to be seated and eat. While not amazing smoked bbq flavour, what we did have was just fine.
