Disgusting tooth in pie. My family of 4 ate lunch on a Saturday afternoon, this past spring. Enjoyed our soup & sandwich’s. Ordered a slice of banana cream pie & brownie. My 81 yr old mother & sistshared the pie, because it was al large. Each had her own fork. My mom was about to swallow her 1st bite of pie & felt something unusual in her mouth. It was a tooth. Not hers, or anyone’s at the table! With a cavity in it! The server suggested that it came out of the whipped creme. Does that make it ok? The owner/ manager never offered an apology to my mom or anyone at the table. This is disgusting. Stay away from this restaurant, far away.
The very best. Hands down, Mallie Kaylas is the best lunch in town. You really can’t beat it. I no longer live in Brooksville, but whenever I go back to visit – which is quite regularly – I’m sure you make a stop.
Delicious, Fresh, consistent. Delicious Freshly made soups, salads and sandwiches. My favorite is the Mallie Garden Salad, or is it the Chicken Salad Croissant with a side of home made potato salad and some freshly brewed Peach tea? All the guys I know love eating at Mallie Kyla’s Cafe because they get generous servings, and it tastes like the soup my grandmother used to make. I wish I was there now!
Girlish Noisy Joint. A very noisy & extremely uncomfortable tiny place with mediocre foods that include only three choices – soups, salads and sandwiches. And tones of creamy pinkish dressing with any course. So that makes females 99.9% of the visitors. Men would definitely prefer burgers and real whole or sliced pieces of animal proteins which this joint almost doesn’t serve. Beef, chicken and shrimp are either shredded or cut into small pieces and bathed in dressings or mayo.Oh, have I noticed they serve instant coffee?
Delicious!. This restaurant is my favorite restaurant and I’ve lived here for 31 years. they have the BEST food and the cutest little shop featuring Vera Bradley bags. The deserts are to DIE for! I looooooove the chicken taco salad with fritos, blackbeans, tomatoes and guacamole! Give it a try, you’ll LOVE it too!
Very small, but good place to eat.. Very popular local eatery. Very good food and service. When we ate there at lunch it was very crowded and was very noisy with everyone talking at once. The restaurant is a converted house and the rooms are divided and the talking just echos off the walls. Tables are close to each other too. So, if you don’t mind this kind of atmosphere, you should give it a try. Good quiche and soup and desserts.
