Good German better Bakery. I was feeling a bit ethic so I tried the new German eatery .Nice place wonderful and helpful staff. The place to come for real dessertsBut I tried a sandwich first, The Vienna. A Schnitzel (breaded pork loin). on a french baguette.It was properly seasoned and tasted good. But I thought the edges were over cooked since they were on the blacken side. The fries were thin and tasty. There was a german meatball used as garnish. It was cold but good with lots of garlic.Overall a good place. BUT an OUTSTANDING BAKERY, fresh made bread, cream puffs, chocolate eclairs, apple strudels to name a few. So if you are not adventurous at least give the sweet tooth a treat.NOVEMBER 2016Bam German Bakery, Se 47th St, Cape Coral, FL., A grumbling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food and chatter.The food. I got a coffee, roll, and a ham & cheese omelette. Coffee hot and good tasting. You have a choice of 6-7 bread items. I got a roll. EHHH. Hard, no flavor. At these prices it should be fresh out of the oven or at least steamed. It was not. Ham and cheese omelette. Nope. This maybe a european style but it was wrong. The cheese was a bit stringy, a lot of cheese… but no flavor. Ham is not folded inside the eggs but mix with the eggs. also not enough ham. Note: They used chives or green onion as a bit of decoration on the plate.A bad idea.I ask for some hot sauce. .. I got Texas Pete Hot sauce!? This is one of the cheapest most vinegary sauce around. Germany has no hot sauce???Chatter; Service was very good. They are an excellent bakery with a good choices.They specialize in german cuisine and such. So maybe it was my fault in picking this place this time.OBSERVATION… I heard ,at a table of three, german, being spoken. Why the heck would you go to a foreign country and eat food that you get at home. DUHHH!anyway BUT bad prepared and dry food is always wrong.

Even if they sell rolls and bread and ham and cheese at the desk, they would not serve you a single roll. We ended up buying rolls and ham and ate it at home.

Bought one a few weeks ago and the cake part was stale Went into the store today for a baguette which are always good and fresh. Asked the clerk if the Beehive was fresh as we had a previous stale and she assured me that they were fresh. Again it was stale. So dissapointed that new owners are still serving old products. Stopped buying pastries from previous owners guess won’t be buying from new owners either.
AMAZING!! Loved it!. I stopped by here on my way to my new apartment in Cape Coral, the bakery is very cute, clean and welcoming, and is well located near the center of SW Cape. The owners were so attentive and friendly, not to mention the pastries were DELICIOUS! (try the eclairs…Seriously!). Took home some baguettes, most amazing bread I’ve ever had. I will definitely be stopping here on the regular now that it’s just around the corner from me!
