April 2019Dantes Coal Fire Pizza, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.First chatter… It was delivered via bitesquad. It was quick and still hot.Now the pie… I asked for packets of cheese, pepper and napkins. NO napkins, 1 cheese, 1 peppers. I ask for plural of each. The pie was a 16 inch. $15 …$2.50 each for pepperoni and mushroom…see my photograph.Twenty dollars all together. At Costc* I could have gotten 2 combination 18 inch pies for the same cost.Plus if you look at Dante pie there were hardly any mushrooms and just enough pepperoni on it.As far as taste the coal was not that big of deal. The pie was just average at best.Nope never again. June 2017Dante Coal Fire Pizza, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food.Chit Chat… Pizza is a personal thing… Most are traditionalist and eat the normal italian style, thin crust or opt for a chicago type. Me I judge all pizza with the normal ingredients of pepperoni & mushroom and whether it taste good cold the next day. I have found the type of fire used does not make a big difference. ( Dante says it uses coal. ) Ok.The food. 12 bucks for a small pepperoni & mushrooms. 2 dollars for each item ! Plus it did not seem the mushrooms were really fresh ( canned?) I needed to doctor the pie with pepper flakes ,basil and more cheese. The pie itself tasted fine BUT no big whoopie… Also the pie next day tasted bad cold. :-(That being said. I am better off going to costco and getting a 18 inch deluxe pie at only $10 !!!! I still need to add flakes . It taste good cold the next day & I have pie for the next few days or more if I freeze some.Just not worth it . Too big of a chunk out of my wallet.Dante Pizza, Cape Coral,Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. After 5 years of receiving coupons I decide to give them a try. I went for the lunch special of 6.95 messzula sandwich or such.It was 2 bucks off the regular price. It also included a salad. This was a wednesday after noon. My server Stefanie did a outstanding job. As I was about to pick the ground beef item I was told they were out of ground beef. ( Hmmm a pizza joint out of beef in the midweek) Well I did not let it faze me. I tried the romano messzula sandwich. My choice. A very bad choice. Now the ingredients were very fresh and it was toasted properly. But for me it suck. It was basically a pizza shell folded in half toasted with melted cheese arugula and some tomatoes. I hate arugula. I tried adding parmasan cheese, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes to improve the flavor. It was a classic no flavor no taste made item for the floridian and vegetarians palette. My Server was very nice and told me I could exchange it for something else. I refuse I made the decision and did not want the eatery to pay for my bad choice. But on a good note. The salad I was given was excellent. No typical iceberg lettuce here. Olives a bit onions tomatoes and walnuts. Walnuts had to go though.Anyway I will be back and try the coal fire pizza. I will wait for some more coupons though.
We arrived at 11:30AM and were the only customers. We waited a few minutes before the waitress seated us. The pizza arrived with the bottom burned. We tried to eat it but couldn’t get past the burnt crust. We showed the waitress the crust and told her we couldn’t eat it. She still charged us for half of it because we ate a couple of half slices. We’re looking for a mew pizza place!
Poor service. We got there at 8:00 sign said they were open till 10:00 on a Friday night. We ordered salad, wings, and pizza. Our waitress Sarah rushed our order to get us out of there. She said it was the cooks fault and told manager about it? I hope the owners take note of it and address there problems or make it a takeout place only!!! Not happy with the service at all. Piss poor people
We’ve been going there for a long time and have recommended it to many people. Unfortunately the service has been pretty terrible the last several times. It’s gotten so bad that I will never go back and will no longer recommend it to anyone. They forgot someone’s order at my table, were unapologetic, never cleared anything from our table, the manager was beyond rude and then they had the nerve to charge us 20% gratuity because we were a party of 6 even though only 5 of us received food. The manager’s attitude alone is enough of a reason for us to never go back. Very sad because we used to love this place.
We love it!!. We go there pretty often! Delicious fresh ingredients! Love it! Good food, good service! I would highly recommend it!
Not for me, ever.. I ordered for carry out. The sandwich I ordered was the roasted chicken. It was alot if dry bread and even dryer chicken. I paid almost 11 $ for something I took one bite out of. It was terrible. Judge for yourself.
Good food and clean restaurant.Service was good.Pizza very tasty and Salad great
