Service. Food is very good, but the service absolutely sucks! The waitress always takes for ever even when the restaurant is slow. She never smiles or says thank you. I have always waited for ever for my check as well. If the food wasn’t so good, I would never go back. They always have the same waitress.
Terrible Customer Service- Treated Like a Burden. Walked in yesterday evening with my mother. Only one other couple in the restaurant so they should have been happy for business. Was greeted by no one, had to walk over to the bar to ask to see a menu. Was rudely slid one with no comment. When I said two, she mumbled to find a seat with her back turned to me. When another older woman (perhaps an owner or manager) came to be our server, I asked a question about the menu and was spoken to like I was complete idiot. She literally was cocking her head back and forth, putting emphasis on certain words, putting her finger in my menu, and acting the way a little hoodlum acts before a fight. When our chips and guac came, the chips were hard and old. The guac was mediocre. We took one bite and I walked up to the bar, told her we had been treated rudely since we got there and for bad-tasting food, and we would be bringing our business elsewhere. She did not apologize– she simply said have a good night. Will not return, will not recommend to anyone, and I wish these two miserable women some light in their lives, but they won’t get it from providing the service they are.
I’ve had worse service, I just can’t remember when!. To be fair and give credit where it is due, the food is here very good and authentic (I’m originally for SoCal I know good Mexican food). But the owner or co owners daughter that is there to cashier, waitress, and answer the phone is soooo unfriendly. I’ve been here to eat several times and she always gives off the vibe that she would rather anywhere than working here. The reason I’ve come back has always been the food, the owner / co owner in the kitchen that prepares all the dishes is very nice and personable but the girl upfront is as warm and friendly as a Zeta’s Cartel hitman! I’ll be taking my Mexican food cravings to Tacos Y Tequila on Pine Island, excellent authentic food and warm friendly service. And just FYI to anyone reading this I’m pretty easy to please as a customer but I just refuse to spend any more of my hard earned money here and be made to feel that my business is a burden.
Our new favorite!!!. Love this family owned little hidden jewel! the girl at the front is always so sweet and the food is yummy authentic Mexican. prices are super reasonable and we frequent about once a week. I would recommended this to anyone. job well done!
WOW! Yummy Authentic Mexican!. Love, love, love the food here! Everything I’ve tried I have loved. The chips and salsa, the taquitos, the tostadas, the burritos, the fajitas, the sauces! A new lunch spot for me on my lunch break from work! Everyone is very friendly there and I also love the cool decorations and figurines they have up! The desserts are great too! Try the flan or tres leches. I am about to go again this week in about 10 minutes! This Cuban girl loves this Mexican place! You have certainly won a loyal customer over! Telling all my friends to get their booty’s over there and enjoy! But WARNING.. you will be addicted after u try this place! lol!
BEST MEXICAN IN SWFL. If you are looking for excellent, fresh, authentic Mexican food-look no further! I’ve tried them all- this place is a ’10’. The Chimichangas are outstanding- along with the chips and sauce trio! guacamole is to die for.
I never write reviews, but it was either write a review or take back my food after I got home with a take out order. And get my money back. The service is horrible can’t stress that enough. And the food was just as bad as the service. Just threw out a 12 Dollar meal. I’ll never be back there. What a joke.
