May 2018Go Go Diner, Pondella Rd, N. Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.I order the western omelette. It is $9.99 … Which I thought was expensive. And it is compared compered to other joints.BUT… I have found it worthy at this price. Here is why. They use 3 LARGE eggs…the eggs are cooked properly. ALL of the ingredients are chopped in mouth size pieces. The eggs are stuffed to overflowing. And it just tasted so much better .The sides of the house potato were perfect. A nice portion, very moist and grilled properly. My toast was a thick slice of fresh bread, expertly butter and toasted.Service was on pare.Done well. Good not special. After 2 years of hearing how great Go Go diner is I was able to go.But unless you are a corn beef hash aficionado it is just a good diner. Nothing spectacular.I was there on a Sunday morn. I was surprise as to how small it was. My server Randy was great.Coffee…. good for coffee.Corn beef hash is the specialty but I am not a hash type.. A variety of of pancakes, red velvet, chocolate chip blue berries etc. What is the big deal of red velvet cake and such???? It seems to be all over here.Anyway. I had the Rebel Rebellion. 3 eggs, your style, 4 thick slices of bacon(mmmmmmm) and the southern staple of biscuit and gravy. All very good ,easier to buy then make for self at home.Over all a good diner, but outstanding IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII don’t think so.Would I go back definitely

Just say No-No to Go-Go. Unfortunately the food was not good enough to compensate for the rude behavior by the male waiter. As a former waitress I am extremely empathetic to servers and make an effort to be kind & respectful to the persons who wait on me and this occasion was no exception ~ I would have appreciated the same courtesy in return by our waiter but sadly that did not happen ~ still not sure what his problem was but he might want to consider another line of work ~ to the owner: there are plenty of qualified wait staff in this area that could represent your establishment in a more positive manner ~ unless he is a relative, etc. or some other reason you keep him employed, I would strongly recommend you replace him or find him something to do that would keep him away from your customers – I’m sure you have lost business from others due to his bad attitude!

My kind of diner. I arrived a little before noon so it wasn’t very busy. The server was excellent and very friendly. He did make a tiny mistake of not adding bacon to the ticket, which once it was pointed out he apologized profusely and brought the bacon in about a minute. My one gripe was that although I ordered a medium burger it was medium-rare. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer my burgers medium-rare. I just order them medium because I’d rather have an under cooked medium (medium-rare) than an under cooked medium-rare (rare). The burger was seasoned nicely and I liked that I could see the chef pull the hamburger meat from the fridge and hand-form and weigh the fresh patty. For diners I always judge them first by their burgers. If I enjoy their burger I’ll return to try other menu items (I know next visit I’ll be trying their hash grande–I almost broke my burger first rule because that plate sounded so good).I’m so glad that there’s a place like this for those of us that prefer traditional (and southern) diner fare to the multiple chain restaurants surrounding it. I know I’ll be returning when I’m in the area.

Spectacular. First restaurant I have ever felt was worth the time to review. The place is small (50-60 seats). I just found this place via some of my friends and I have to say it was the most comfortable down home feeling diner I have been to in a long while. If it wasn’t for the run down plaza that it was in you would think you were sitting in one of the little diners you find on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. The food is outstanding and the service is friendly, welcoming and playful with sarcasm at times. I love that it has an open kitchen and you can see the chef /owner preparing the food, flipping pancakes and occasionally barking out orders to the staff. I highly recommend going to the GoGo diner if you have not been they do a fantastic job.

I’ve got to say…I was very impressed with this restaurant today. I went in and was greeted immediately…although they were incredibly busy…there want a time where I waited on drinks or food. The atmosphere was very friendly home like. The owner cooks the best corned beef hash I’ve had yet since being in Florida. Thank you GoGo Diner for an incredible Sunday meal with the family!!

Had biscuits and gravy and hash from here this morning and it was terrible and expensive! I won’t be coming back to this far over-hyped hole again.
