Overall good food. We went there for the first time last night. Just let me say any food you could possibly want is on their buffet. I made the mistake of hitting the salad bar first. Everything was very fresh and they had every topping imaginable. I couldn’t sample everything but the items I did that stood out were the meatloaf, pot roast, mashed potatoes (these are real!), sweet potato casserole (to die for!), onion rings in tempura batter, yeast rolls, and salisbury steak. My husband had the spare ribs and said they were excellent. In my opinion you could pass on the desserts. A huge variety but they were nothing special. I was amazed that they actually offered cotton candy! The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely go back but knowing the amount of calories and sodium I’m ingesting it won’t be often.
Waitstaff is horrible. I have gone here several times with my one and a half yr old son for breakfast only because he’s such a picky eater. After 30 mins of still not bringing me my coffee..I’ve literally had to gather my son..and purse and search for someone. I say search because i dont know if they’re hidding in the kitchen or outside but they’re usually no where in sight..if and when im lucky enough to find someone..I finally get ONE drink…no plates are removed from our table…and not even a friendly good morning or hello..I have no idea how these people got their jobs..or what manager doesnt see this for themselves..but clearly this isn’t a way to treat customers..I would rather the drinks be out and we can get them ourselves…and trust me…while carrying a baby..pushing a high chair..carrying a drink isn’t an easy task….but I w old manage if I didnt have to deal with the rude unattractive disappearing acts of those girls.
Don’t waste your money. My wife and I have been to the Golden Corral in Cape coral 10 times since July 2014. We went there to night and what a disappointment !! The trays were empty, what was out was all dried up. I told the waitress and she told the Manager Roberto. He came to talk to us and said that 2 of his workers called out and he was working on it. So we eat what we could which wasn’t much. I went to have a salad put one tong full of greens in the bowl and seen the bowl was filthy so I handed the bowl the guy behind the counter and walked away. The only saving grace was Tami the waitress she kept saying she was sorry, it wasn’t her fault. The management should get on the ball. So if you want to waste your money go to the Golden Corral in Cape Coral. I know I never will go back to this place.
Excellent food. I have eaten there numerous times and it was always a good experience. The manager and the waiting staff were always very friendly and helpful. It is a little difficult to drive into the parking lot since it is not marked very well. One must make a very sharp U-turn on Andalusia Blvd to find the entrance to the parking lot. The city/county could do a better job there in traffic engineering.
Will not go back!. We are snowbirds and went on opening night, food was good and worth the line ups although the staff seemed very unsure of their duties. Went back a couple months later, noticed that the quality of food and cleanliness had deteriorated plus a very surly waitress. Gave it one last chance this August and was totally disgusted with the plates which are stacked face down. there was food between these supposedly clean plates! GROSS. Will not put our health at risk.
Will NOT go!. We have been in CC 25 years.Was excited about our new GC and have been wanted to go ever since it opened.We had our doubts from previous GCs, but thought this one might be different.So glad I read the reviews.We WILL NOT GO.Thanks everyone for your comments!
Clean the plates!!!!. My Family and I have been going to the new Golden Corral since it opened. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the food and service has good down hill since snowbird season ended. The last time my family went to Golden corral the chicken wings were not cooked through and the plates were dirty. We waited a couple of weeks and went back today. The plates were yet again dirty and only 2 steaks were cooking at a time at 12:30 on a Sunday!On the upside, this location does not smell like sewage like the Fort Myers location. For now, my family and I will refrain from going to Golden Corral. We may try again during season.
