November 2017Jill’s Joint, NE 27th Ln., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.I came here for the fried chicken. Alas it is so popular they were out of this item. So next time.My entree. Meatloaf, onion rings, and coleslaw. Coleslaw was pretty typical. It was good.Onion ring flavor able and crunchy. Meat loaf was a suprize. Tasty with bits of bell peppers. Just enough to tell you it there but not overwhelming.Service was great. They are located in a no man land of commercial business. My be a bit to drive & navigate but well worth it.October 2017Jill’s Joint, NE 27th Ln., Cape Coral, Fl., A growling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food and chit chat.Ahhhh another eatery that is being kept hidden in The Cape. This is hidden among warehouses and industrial parks. You do not go here for the ambiance or scenery. Just good ole fashion chow at a nice diner.I was drawn here by a ad of waffles & bacon. My My the waffle was delish with tons of butter, crispy fluffy at the same time. Of crispy bacon or your choice of animal flesh. ( the carnivore inside me)Do it your self coffee or drinks.Served up by a nice ,but slightly crusty waitress. She was trying to finish her meal of eggs and bacon, and help the customers too.And did a wonderful job.So if you want a good breakfastFried bologna sandwich.Liver & onions.Or prime rib on saturday nite. Turn on your GPS and venture to this nick of the woods.Breakfast maybe…NO on french dip. Well I have seen this place advertise for past years. It pointed out breakfast but had lunch and dinner.I made the mistake of going for lunch and had a sandwich of sort. The breakfast I saw were good looking and well proportional. It felt homey and divey at the same time. But I am all about the food. In this case I requested a French Dip.A French Dip with au jus came from the Phillppe Restaurant, 1920’s in Los Angeles,Ca.. It thin sliced beef on roll with thin gravy on the side.THIS WAS NOT.I will say the onion rings were great. but pleaseI got a pot roast sandwich on french roll with cheese. Plus a thick gravy on side. If they had told me this is what they meant I would have gotten something. It tasted fine but not what I expected.Anyway IF you wish to be adventurous, drive to the middle of an industrial park , give the breakfast a try.

Hole in the wall restaurants are usually good, but we did not have a good experience with this place. We had a server who hands you a cup to fix your own drink. She was busy eating her own food, and watching tv. My husband and I went for breakfast and I received my plate about 5 min before he was brought his. His eggs were undercooked, hash wasn’t seasoned, and the sever never once came to check on us. Not a place we will go back to again.

Not for me. I wanted to like this unassuming little cafe, which as one reviewer said, is definitely out of the way (it’s in an industrial park). However, everything was way too greasy, from the bread on the sandwiches to the fries. My boyfriend ordered the au jus sandwich, and they brought it out without the au jus! They didn’t seem too familiar with their own menu.We were also a little put off by the dirty floor and old chairs/tables. Unless you live or work close by, I’m sorry to say that there isn’t much reason to eat here.

Jill’s. We went after finding a coupon – just to check the place out. Terrific little out of the way place, great service and wonderful food. I just can’t say enough good about the experience. Definitely worth finding and we have become regular customers. Best to go and see for yourself. Try out their fish friday. Trust me.
