  Oh boy…Mama Leone…the couple that own this restaurant are from the old country and their cooking shows it. Great food. Period. You can eat there (nothing fancy) or take out. They also have frozen goodies that you can keep at home and pop in your oven when you want something quickly. :]The food is the thing…and it is authentic and well prepared. Stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

  May 2018Leone’s Food & Specialty, SE 14th Ave., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.Pizza is a personal thing. I like Leone. Pepperoni and mushroom. A taste of each in every bite. Plus good when cold. It is not inexpensive. If you want cheap & fast go to a chain place.Slices are available at times.Everything is made from Leone recipe.She is 75 +. Cannolis are not made til you order. They carry imported items. Plus each day is a different soup.They had closed down but now are reopened for the last few months.Be warned they are located in an industrial area of the Cape. Low traffic.The biggy, THEY ONLY TAKE CASH or check. NO PLASTIC OF ANY KIND…Service is kind but can be slow. Here is my 2 cents on the food. If there was a heaven for a foodie this is the entrance. The pasta fagioli is to die for. The pasta is cooked al dente & the seasoning is a kiss on your lips. My calzone was stuffed with melted gooey cheese tasty pepperoni & mushrooms. My large side dish of dipping sauce was spiced enough with garlic and all other italian herbs it made me cry for the goodness.Now some chit chat. First the bad news, They only accept CASH & local CHECKS. NO DEBIT or CREDIT CARDS. Thats it.It is located in the industrial section of the Cape. A mile or so from the main Post Office and city hall.BUT if you want REAL food,like you would find in Little Italy of San Francisco this is a must find. The owner treated me as if I was a long lost relative. She gave me a personal tour of the deli. Showing me how she made Pasta fagioli. ( it was in its last stage. No secrets revealed, 🙁 … )Everything is made from scratch. I saw the basic material come thru the front door. The aroma of goodness can you guide here . It is not fancy but plenty of room for a pee wee football squad to sit.2 tables out doors. So many choices for you to pick. So little time on the earth.Finally I found a place in SW Florida, where you can experience a classic world cuisine. .It will not break your wallet but fill your heart and belly with joy.If you do not like the italian food here, your taste buds have been corrupted by the big corporations of chain eateries.Come fill your belly with joy!!!NOVEMBER 2016Leone Italian Food Specialty,, SE 14th St., Cape Coral, FL., A grumbling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food and chatter.Alright, when I am not checking out other eateries, this is my to go to place for a good pizza pie. Its never made til ask ( including cannoli ), plus you can buy it by the slice. Pizza is a personal deal.The only hiccup here is CASH ONLY.They offer lots of italian products from Italy. The housemade soups and sausage are all wonderful.Plus it is in the industrial section of the Cape, 1/2 mile from City Hall. Well worth the trip.So go to an ATM and come on down, spend a wad of cash.
