Maria’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, SE 46th Ln., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cent on the food and chatter.I went here for the Sizzle Week. I am glad I did.For 16 bucks you get a soda, appetizer and entree. I chose the lasagna. I drank raspberry lemonade. I got the house made wedding soup. Well balance and filled with meat. Along with hot buttery garlic rolls to dip in a wonderful olive oil. Messy, but lip smacking good. The main event was the lasagna. WOW… delightful…No need to add pepper flakes or salt. Just plain delirious tasty! The portion were bigger than most places I have been to. I needed a doggie bag to go. As my server stated you never leave here hungry.Roy my server was outstanding. There is only 1 big hiccup. The parking lot. It only has 3 spaces and 1 handicapped. Difficult to park. So when busy you must park on the street. It seemed to be a safe neighborhood.
The food was exceptional! The staff was extremely friendly! And the food was perfect!!!! We had pizza and Stromboli. This is a locals favorite and a must try when in the area!
Vegetable Lazagna. Excellent dish. Great service05 Nov, 2014Vegetable Lazagna. This was a special. The combination of flavors was complex and absolutely delicious. The waiter was just attentive enough and was mannerly. This experience may cause me to rank Maria’s among the best restaurants in Cape Coral.
Good taste of Italy. Went to Maria’s for the second time in a week on Tuesday. Two for one entree special. Food was again very good. Our server was not as good as the one we had last week. The biggest problem is choosing what to order.
We had a very nice dinner experience. The staff was friendly and the food was good. We will back next time we find ourselves in the cape
Not so good…. We had thought many times of stopping in, and finally did. Only one other table was occupied on this Sunday night. Our waiter, Kyle was very pleasant, professional, and attentive. We started off with a couple of glasses of wine, and asked for some garlic rolls to go with it. The rolls should have been a warning to cut our losses here. the rolls were bready, with some no taste of garlic al all. we ate a few bites and left the rest. We asked the server about the combo- if this was all covered in the same cheese and sauce to make it all indistinguishable- and he said yes. So, we ordered the Sunday Lasagna special. The calamari appetizer was advertised with a garlic aioli and a spicy marinara. The calamari was cooked correctly- but the aioli just tasted like mayonnaise, and the spicy marinara was bland- we asked for tabasco to spice it up. The lasagna didn’t even look like lasagna- a couple of lumps under cheese and sauce. It was mostly ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. The couple of lasagna noodles were mushy. Not tasty or like any lasagna I’ve ever eaten. We left most of the meal behind. We won’t be back.
